Azimut Industries is a French design edition agency, specialized in lighting products that combines smart technical solutions to reinforce the value of usage. Azimut Industries has developed a complete range of spotlights for private and professional usage.

Through his architecture agency, Christian Girard originally created spotlights which he utilized in his own installations; later, he offered them to a select group of colleagues. Originally created for professionals, these items were never to be commercialised.
Christian Girard stated that these spotlights were his trademark. The Azimut light is mobile by means of a magnet that can rotate around a metallic demi-sphere, which serves both as a receptacle for the transformer and a support for the projector. The principle of magnetic linking creates an «tous azimuts» (all-out) revolution.
The designer’s true inspiration from commercial illuminations led him to create these lighting atmospheres.
Hence the General Electric light bulb PAR 36 provided the basis for his mobile spotlight, which he conceived in 1969.
